Akshay Kumar’s Padman – a movie made on a topic which everyone can relate to but not everyone will go out and watch this. The movie has been loved by the people who have seen it and the first two days collections show the trend.
The movie opened by collecting 10.26 crores on its 1st day setting the base for a stable weekend. Though the collection was less than Akshay Kumar’s last movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (13.10 crores), it might show a positive trend from today giving its positive word of mouth. Padman, showed a jump and went on to collect 13.68 crores on its 2nd day at the box office.
On its 3rd day, as pre-early trends flowing in, the movie has gone on to collect in the range of 16-17 crores. If the estimates hit the bull’s eye, the movie will have a weekend in the range of 40.94 crores.
Padman tells a story of an Arunachalam Muruganantham’s journey to make affordable sanitary napkins. A section of the media has said that it has been banned in Pakistan due to its sensitive subject.
